I recently purchased an iPhone 17 Pro with 512 GB storage for cash and am now considering exchanging it for a 256 GB Pro Max model. Will I get a refund for the price difference, or will I only receive store credit?

It really depends on where you bought your phone. If it’s from the Apple Store and you’re within the return period, you should be able to get a full refund. Just make sure to bring your receipt when you go to exchange it.
As long as you're still in the return window, you should be fine! However, it's good to be aware that for cash purchases over $750, they might send your refund via check in the mail rather than giving it back to you in store. Going back to the same store where you bought it is a smart move.
