Can I use Claude with Google Cloud Vertex AI during the trial?

I can back that up! Even with our $300K AI startup credits, which sound great, we found they're only applicable to first-party models like Gemini, not Claude. So you're pretty limited.

Unfortunately, you can't use third-party models like Claude with Vertex AI if you're on free trial credits. I tried it myself and hit a dead end. It's strictly for first-party models only.
