I'm looking for a good AM4 socket CPU to match with my 9070 XT, especially since RAM prices are a bit high right now. Any recommendations?

Honestly, if I had to build a new system today, I’d probably just go with the cheapest AM5 setup. You can find a decent $200 CPU and about $400 for 16GB of RAM. It's a solid entry point into the new generation.
A solid choice might be the 5800X3D, or if you can find them, both the 5700X3D and 5600X3D are excellent picks. But just keep in mind, these models can be tough to find because they're quite popular!
If you stumble upon any X3D chips, grab those because they really shine. Otherwise, consider jumping to LGA1700 with DDR4. For example, you could get an Intel Core i7-12700KF for about $230 and pair it with a compatible motherboard for just under $370 total. Here's a link with the parts laid out.
That's actually a smart move! It gives you the chance to switch to DDR5 later on as well. Definitely a more future-proof setup!
I hear you, but honestly, why not stick with AM4 and invest those savings into a better GPU? Seems like a better bang for your buck to me!

True, those are great CPUs, but they might be a bit like unicorns right now. If you're stuck, the 5800XT could be a more accessible option too.
