I'm facing a problem connecting the CPU power on my ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR X870E APEX motherboard with the SAMA G850 power supply. The motherboard's CPU power connector seems to have one square pin, but the connector from the SAMA G850 has two square pins positioned diagonally. Make sure you're using the right type of cable from your power supply. Look for an 8-pin CPU cable specifically labeled as such. Sometimes, power supplies have mixed cables, and it's easy to grab the wrong one by mistake.
Actually, it sounds like you might be trying to plug a PCI-E cable into the CPU slot. The lower connector next to the ATX power connector might not be for CPU power—it's easy to confuse them. Instead, look for a dedicated CPU connector on your power supply and make sure you're using that one.
It's labeled CPU, and is a split 4x4. I checked the product pages and everything matches, but they still don't fit.
