I'm having a frustrating issue where my PC says it's connected to the internet, but I can't load any websites or run apps that need internet access, like my game clients. I initially thought it was my old ethernet cable since it was acting up, so I got a new one, but the problem is still there. I've also tried using cmd commands like 'ip config /release' and 'ip config /renew'. Is there anything else I can do to fix this?

If you’re still having issues after changing the DNS, try resetting your network settings. You can do this by going to your network settings in control panel and selecting 'Network Reset'. It might help to refresh everything.
It sounds like you might be having a DNS issue with your ISP. If their DNS is down and you're not using a reliable alternative, I recommend going into your network settings and changing your DNS to either 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8. That often helps resolve connection problems.
Make sure your network adapter is enabled. You can check this in the Device Manager. Sometimes it gets disabled accidentally, and that would prevent proper internet access.
If you’re seeing 'no internet access' after changing the DNS, go back to your network settings and switch it back to automatic DNS. Then try restarting your router and PC to see if that helps.
