Hi everyone! I recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science and I'm on a student visa. I've been diligently searching for entry-level positions in IT, such as helpdesk and junior system admin roles, for a few months but haven't had any luck yet. I'm starting to feel quite anxious about my situation since I need a job soon to stay in the country. I would really appreciate any feedback on my resume. Here's the link to my resume: [https://imgur.com/a/VUzx50l](https://imgur.com/a/VUzx50l). Thanks in advance for your help!

I think you're on the right track, but also look at how you frame your experiences. Instead of just listing tasks, try to highlight the impact. Say something like, 'Developed a web app that saved time on project management,' instead of just stating what you built. This gives context and shows recruiters the significance of your work. Also, if possible, target your resume for the specific job instead of making it too broad.

Make sure you're removing phrases like 'in progress' for your certifications if they are basic. If you’re finishing a certificate soon, list it as completed to boost your profile. Also, include any relevant metrics if you can - did you save the company time or improve efficiency? This kind of data can really make a difference.

I appreciate the suggestion! I'm finalizing MS900, so I'll list it as complete. Thanks!

Your resume could definitely use some tweaks. Right now, it doesn't highlight your relevant experience effectively, especially if you're targeting helpdesk positions. Focus on your practical skills and what you've done in past jobs. For instance, mention specific tools you used and the problems you solved. Also, consider moving your work experience above your education. Be clear and concise about your roles – potential employers want to see immediate value.

That makes sense! I’ll try restructuring it to emphasize my helpdesk experience. Thanks for the insight!

The job market is tough right now, but your resume seems to have a solid foundation. Keep applying! Revisit your achievements and consider how you've positively impacted previous roles. Metrics can really make your application stand out. Remember, the right job is out there—you just need to keep pushing through!
