Are Prebuilt PCs Worth It Right Now?

I've been considering buying a prebuilt PC due to the current high prices of RAM and other components. I found some websites offering configurable prebuilt options at prices that are comparable to buying parts individually. My current computer is quite outdated, over 10 years old, and has an i5-2400 CPU, GTX 950 GPU, and DDR3 RAM. I'm looking to upgrade to something that includes DDR5. What do you all think? Is it a good time to go for a prebuilt? Any advice would be appreciated!

Prebuilts can be a solid option, especially when prices are tight. However, the downside is they might use lower quality parts, and some are known to come with bloatware or even malware. It's definitely worth checking out reviews from sources like GamersNexus on YouTube—they've gone through tons of prebuilts.

I get that concern, but I'm mostly looking at those configurable options where I can choose my components. I'll definitely check out those reviews, thanks!

If you're in the EU, it might help to know what your budget is and if you have access to local stores. Since you mentioned a budget of around 1600€ (and possibly up to 2000€), you should be able to find some good options out there that meet your DDR5 needs! Just be sure to do thorough research on component quality before finalizing anything.

Thanks for the tip! I'll look into local options and see what I can find that fits within my budget.
