I'm looking to upgrade my setup to AM5 since I'm currently bottlenecking my NVIDIA 4070 with an i7 9770. While I don't urgently need new RAM, I found a deal for 32GB of 5600 MHz RAM for $225. I'm unsure if I should buy it now or wait to see if prices drop in the coming months. What do you all think – is this a good price, or will I regret not waiting?

Are you in a good financial spot? If not, it might make sense to hold off for now. Consider getting just 16GB if you need a stopgap. But if you think your current RAM can hold out for a while longer, maybe wait it out.
RAM prices fluctuate a lot. Back in the day, we had massive surges and drops. Remember the early '90s? Prices soared, but then leveled out. So, while I don't think they'll skyrocket again, they might not drop much either.
I get it, but it's tough to predict just based on past trends.
If you've found 32GB for $225, that's a solid price! But I wouldn't rush it if you don't need it immediately. Prices might dip in the next 6-9 months, so waiting could pay off if you can hold out.
Yeah, I've seen offers starting at $350, so $225 sounds good to me, but those deals can disappear fast.
Honestly, I'm not sure where RAM prices are headed. Some say they might not drop soon, so if you're looking at $225 for 32GB, that's a decent deal right now. Other options might be harder to find or more expensive.
True, but prices can be unpredictable. I mean, they really shot up recently, and it doesn't seem straightforward.

I can only use DDR4 RAM for now, but I know I’ll need DDR5 soon enough.
