I have an Asus Zenbook that my dad purchased in early 2021. Unfortunately, after not using it for about a month, I tried to power it on today. It started off fine while I watched a movie, but when I attempted to update my Sims game, the laptop suddenly shut down without warning. When I plugged in the charger, the laptop turned back on, but the battery was stuck at 66%. It's getting late, and it's still showing the same battery percentage. I suspect the battery might be dead and I'm really worried about what to do because I'm afraid of disappointing my family. Also, the date is set to January 1, 2116, and I'm not sure how to fix that either. I'm feeling really panicked, so any help would be appreciated!

Sounds like you might need to replace the battery. It’s definitely the most common issue if it won’t hold a charge. You could take it to a local laptop repair shop and they should be able to help out! Also, it seems like your laptop's charging light might be flashing when you plug it in, which is another sign of a dead battery.

Do you know how I can find a replacement battery? Can I just take it to any store?
