I'm using an ASUS TUF A15 laptop with an RTX 4060 and Ryzen 7 processor, connected to an MSI G24C6 monitor via DisplayPort. Here's the issue: my external monitor isn't scaling the resolution correctly, resulting in black borders around the image. The resolution appears to be set correctly, but the display isn't filling the screen. I've already checked various settings, including Windows resolution, options in the NVIDIA Control Panel, and the monitor's own settings. I've even tried different refresh rates, ensured I'm using a proper DisplayPort cable, and tested another monitor, but the problem remains. The internal display on my laptop works fine, and HDMI doesn't seem to resolve the issue either. I'm really looking for a technical explanation or an actual fix beyond generic troubleshooting steps.

Are you sure it's not just the monitor's actual border? Sometimes people confuse that for the display issue. Do you have any photos of what you're seeing?

I’m pretty certain it’s not just the border; the overall image quality is noticeably poor. Here’s a pic: https://preview.redd.it/t24s3iczu8bg1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c79b3d2496e7e1c3fd1f88ab18a9f265dfc47823.
