I'm thinking about building a powerful homelab and a solid home LAN setup, and I want to know if it makes sense to start purchasing now before the prices climb even higher.

Hoarding definitely worsened the supply issues during COVID. Let’s not repeat that.
If you're looking to build something in the next year, definitely go for it! Prices for used parts probably won't get any lower for a while.
I might grab some parts soon just because it feels like the uncertainty could last until 2030.
