Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to build my first PC and would love to get some input from those with more experience. I've put together a build based on the AM5 platform, and here are the specs:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- **Motherboard:** Aorus Elite Wifi7 B850
- **RAM:** KINGSTON Fury Beast Black KF556C40BBK2-64, XMP, DDR5 5600MHz, 2x32GB (I know it's not the top tier, but I got a good deal before prices shot up)
- **GPU:** Pulse AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB GDDR6
- **PSU:** Corsair RMx 1000W
- **Case:** Fractal Meshify 3
- **Cooler:** Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120
- **Storage:** Samsung 990 Pro 1TB
I'm all set to make this purchase, but I'd really appreciate any thoughts or suggestions on my build! Thanks a bunch!

I agree, 1000W seems excessive for your setup, and while Corsair makes solid PSUs, they can be pricey. You might want to check out some tier lists for alternatives. For instance, the Montech Century II is an A-tier PSU that typically sells for half the price of the Corsair.
Your build looks solid overall! One suggestion is to consider a 2TB SSD if you plan on gaming a lot. With many newer games taking up a ton of space, having that extra storage can be a real lifesaver, plus it's good to keep around 15% of your drive free for optimal performance.
Just a heads up, sometimes you can get the Ryzen 7 7800X3D for about €100 less than the 9800X3D. They perform comparably with the 9070 XT, and in certain games, the 7800X3D even outperforms the pricier option. You could save some cash there! Also, I went with a 750W PSU for my similar build, and I think 1000W might be overkill.
What’s your total budget for the build? I’m guessing you’re focusing mainly on gaming, but it’d be good to know if you’re considering peripherals as well.
