Hey everyone! I just found a used RTX 3080 at a great price for my new PC build. I've never used Linux before, but I'm thinking of setting up my PC with a full Linux installation. I've heard that NVIDIA graphics cards can be tricky to work with in Linux. My main goals are to game and explore AI and machine learning, and I know that NVIDIA's CUDA is generally preferred for AI tasks compared to AMD. Can anyone offer some advice or insights? Thanks a lot! Also, I've looked into the AMD 6900XT as an alternative if needed.

I've been using ComfyUI for AI on Ubuntu with my 3090 Ti, and it works way better than on Windows for me! The NVIDIA drivers installed automatically without any fuss. Just a heads up, I game on Windows primarily because EA games have trouble running on Linux due to anti-cheat issues. But if anyone has corrections on that, feel free to chime in!

Wait, does that mean even single-player games are affected?
