I've recently purchased a Samsung Odyssey G5 monitor and connected it to my PS5 using an HDMI to DisplayPort cable. However, I keep getting a black screen for about 4 seconds during gameplay, and a message appears in the top left corner indicating 'DisplayPort.' I'm looking for a solution to this problem. What can I do to fix this?

I totally get wanting to game at 1440p and 120fps, but the PS5 only outputs video via HDMI. The black screen is probably due to that cable setup. Stick with a standard HDMI cable for the best experience.

It sounds like you're using the wrong type of cable. Instead of HDMI to DisplayPort, try connecting your PS5 directly with an HDMI to HDMI cable. This should resolve the black screen issue you're facing. DisplayPort isn't supported by the PS5, and that's likely causing the interruption you're experiencing.
