Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my PC's RAM since it's really struggling to load and play the games I want. It's an older setup—I haven't upgraded much since 2020, and the last thing I replaced was the power supply. My current configuration includes an X570 AORUS ELITE motherboard from Gigabyte, which I believe supports DDR4 RAM. I want to bump my RAM from 16GB to 32GB, ideally for under $500. I know the market for PC parts has been tough lately, but I'm hoping to get some solid advice on what I can upgrade! Thanks in advance!

You'll have plenty of options for good DDR4 RAM kits within your budget—about $200 should get you a decent set. Just out of curiosity, are you looking to upgrade just the RAM, or are you considering anything else for your PC?
I'd love to upgrade more parts if I could, but everything's so pricey right now. Just focusing on RAM for now.
Check what RAM sticks you currently have and get the same model again for a total of 4x8GB. It'll help with compatibility. You can usually find this info in your system specs but opening your PC is the most reliable way.
Do I have to physically open up my PC for that, or can I see it in the settings somewhere?
If you currently have 2x8GB RAM sticks, you can just buy the same ones to fill the other slots. Alternatively, if you want to swap them out, go for either 2x16GB or 4x8GB based on what's priced better.

Is DDR4 really going for that low? I thought prices had shot up!
