Why is my monitor showing no signal after replacing RAM?

I recently replaced my faulty RAM with a new one that's exactly the same type, but now my monitor keeps displaying 'no signal.' I've tried reseating all the components and even reset the BIOS, but nothing seems to work. I verified that my monitor and cable are functional by testing them on a friend's PC. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked if the new RAM is seated properly? It might help to try removing it and booting the PC without it, then putting it back in. Sometimes a little wiggle is all it takes to get a connection right!

Yeah, I can confirm that RAM sometimes needs a good reseat. If you're still getting no signal, maybe try booting with one stick at a time to see if one of them is faulty.

What was going on with your old RAM before the swap? Did the monitor work fine before those issues started? It sounds like you had some crashes, which might hint at a larger problem. Just curious if you noticed any signs before the RAM went out.

Yeah, the old RAM was causing constant crashes, and at one point it showed some weird codes before going black. It’s been a while, so I don’t remember everything clearly.
