I'm having a major issue with my Huawei MateBook D15. It keeps displaying a 'no boot device' error, and I'm really in a bind since I rely on this laptop for school. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

If your hard drive is dead, there might be a chance to recover data if you replace it or connect it externally. Just keep in mind that you’ll probably need to reinstall the OS on a new drive.

Is it worth trying to fix the old hard drive, or should I just get a new one?

It sounds like your hard drive might be toast. That's typically what causes that error. You could try reseating the hard drive or checking the connections inside, but if it’s truly dead, you might need to replace it.
