I recently got a new PC for Christmas, but I'm having a frustrating issue with my WiFi. It feels really slow when I use it, and I'm currently relying on a USB adapter. I thought reinstalling the drivers would help, but it didn't make a difference. I've heard that USB adapters can sometimes cause problems, but I'm not sure what else to try since I can't share a picture of my adapter. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Before diving into upgrades, run a speed test at speedtest.net to check your upload/download speeds and latency. Also, how does the performance compare with other devices, like your phone? If they do well, your PC might just need a better adapter. USB adapters don’t usually perform great. A PCIe adapter with an external antenna could be a better option if you continue to have issues.
USB adapters can definitely be a bit slow. One thing that can really impact your speeds is the position of the antenna. Make sure the adapter is as close to the router as possible. Sometimes, having your PC case in the way can block the signal. Do you have a way to extend the USB adapter away from your PC to test if it improves the connection?
What type of USB adapter are you using? If it looks like a regular USB thumb drive or is similar to what's included with a wireless mouse, that could be part of the problem. Those types often don’t have good range or speed. Ideally, you'd want an adapter with at least one antenna, preferably two, or even a PCIe card which connects directly to your motherboard.
