Is the 7950X3D a Good Choice in 2025?

I'm considering getting a used computer with a 7950X3D, an RTX 4090, 64GB of RAM, and 3TB of storage for $2900. Alternatively, I could buy a brand new setup with a Core i9 Ultra, 64GB of RAM, an RTX 5060 Ti, and 2TB of storage for $3500. The AMD machine is almost a year old but still has a warranty for most parts. I'm looking for a good build for both gaming and editing, and the Cinebench scores suggest the AMD processor competes well with the i9. I'm a bit torn on which option to choose. What do you all think?

Honestly, the 7950X3D setup is going to serve you very well, especially with that RTX 4090. It's a powerhouse for gaming and should handle editing tasks just fine too. Plus, since it's under warranty, you get a bit of peace of mind. I'd say definitely go for it!

What about future-proofing? Think it's still solid in a couple of years?
