Why is my SATA SSD so slow?

I've tried everything I can think of to fix my SATA SSD, but it's still lagging terribly. I get this constant 'lime brick of doom' effect, and even though its health seems fine and the cables look good, my SSD is performing way below expectations. I've checked its speeds in the Task Manager, but it's not even hitting proper speeds in MB/s. For reference, it's a Lexar SSD NQ100 with 480GB capacity. Any tips or ideas on what might be causing this?

In my experience, if your SSD is stalling like that, it might be on its last legs. Sometimes, a drive can show as healthy while actually having significant issues. I recommend backing up your data and looking into getting a new SSD before this one fails completely.

I was under the impression that it should last longer if it's only a year old. Aren't most SSDs designed to withstand more wear?
