Can I Force Enable ReadyBoost on a Flash Drive for Another Device?

I have a device with limited RAM (only 1GB), and I'm trying to find a way to use ReadyBoost with a USB flash drive I own. I want to enable ReadyBoost on my PC, then take the flash drive to the other device. Is there any way to make this work, or does ReadyBoost have to be set up directly on the device I want to use it with?

You can't really force ReadyBoost on a flash drive if it's meant for another device. ReadyBoost settings are based on the machine where you're using it, not the drive itself. The device you're trying to use it on needs to support ReadyBoost directly.

I get that, but the device I'm targeting only has 1GB of RAM. There's gotta be some way to improve its performance, right?
