Now that I've got Linux (Bazzite) set up and running, I'm wondering if it's a good idea to create my own user account. What do you think?

Definitely make at least two accounts: one for administrative tasks and another for regular use. This way, if one account runs into issues, you can still access your system using the other. Plus, it gives you time to figure out any problems without locking yourself out.
Absolutely! Creating your own user account is considered a best practice. It helps to keep your main admin account secure and separate from your everyday tasks. If anything goes wrong, you’ll have a backup plan with a separate account.
