Hey everyone! I've been trying to learn coding for nearly ten years now, but I'm feeling really stuck. I don't actually enjoy coding—I'm just motivated by my desire to create games. The problem is, I can't make games without coding, and since I struggle to retain information, I feel like I'm going around in circles. Currently, I'm working through the Python certification on FreeCodeCamp, but I have a hard time staying motivated. Every lab takes me forever, and I often find myself just copying other people's answers. I guess I'm looking for resources or methods that would make learning coding more accessible for someone like me who struggles with it. Are there any simpler alternatives?

It might just be that coding isn't the right fit for you as a career or hobby. Building apps takes a lot of time and patience, sometimes months or even years. If you find it tough to motivate yourself to learn, that might be something to address first. The field of coding is all about continuous learning, so you’ll need dedication to keep up with it.

I appreciate the advice, but I do know how to self-teach in things I enjoy. I’m frustrated because I need to learn coding to create things, even though I don't like it.
