My gaming laptop, a Cyborg 15 A12V with a GeForce RTX graphics card, now only lasts about 40 minutes on battery. I've already reset it, so I don't think it's a memory-related issue. Does anyone have advice on how to possibly fix this? Should I just get the battery replaced?

Honestly, that battery life seems about normal for a gaming laptop. With a battery around 54 watt hours and drawing about 120w, you’ll see some quick drain. If you’re just using it for basic tasks and it’s still draining in 40 minutes, there could be something running in the background that you don’t know about. But if it’s while gaming, that's pretty standard. Just keep it plugged in whenever you can!
It sounds like you’ll need to replace the battery. Lithium-ion batteries naturally deteriorate over time, which is likely the issue. If you’re comfortable with it, you can try doing it yourself; otherwise, a professional can handle it for you.
Thanks for the info! Do you think it's a difficult job to replace it myself?
Try downloading HWMonitor. It can give you a good read on your battery's health and performance, which might help figure out what’s going on.

I’ve definitely noticed it getting worse over the last year, so sounds like it might not be just me!
