I just built my first PC and when I try to turn it on, it starts for a few seconds, makes a clicking sound, and then shuts off. Can anyone suggest what I might have done wrong?

Here's a checklist of things to consider:
1. Make sure the power cable is connected securely at both the power supply unit (PSU) and the wall outlet.
2. Check that your RAM sticks are fully seated in their slots—sometimes they can be tricky.
3. Verify that the CPU cooler is installed properly; also, make sure there's no protective sticker left on the cooler's cold plate.
Try these suggestions and see if they resolve the issue. If not, it might be worth considering if any components are faulty.
Yeah, I bet it’s the RAM not being seated correctly or possibly in the wrong slot. It’s a common mistake when building.
If you're still stuck after checking those things, it might be useful to double-check all connections.
Yeah, definitely ensure the RAM is in the right slot. It can be the little things that trip you up.

Thanks for the tips! I’ll definitely check those out.
