I'm about to move to college and I'm taking my gaming PC with me. It has a huge Noctua NH-D15 heatsink, and I'm a bit worried about how to transport it safely. The road trip is going to be long, and I'm concerned that the bumps could damage the motherboard or cause microfractures. I'm already planning to remove the GPU, but I'm also considering whether I need to clean off and reapply the thermal paste for the heatsink. Is there a safe way to do all of this?

Don't stress too much about the thermal paste! Cleaning it off isn't that hard and reapplying it is straightforward if you follow some guides online. You'll be fine!

Am I just overthinking it?
