Best Way to Remote-Play Games on My PC While Using It Concurrently?

I'm looking for the best way to play games remotely on my PC while still being able to use it for other tasks. I recently tried RDP Wrapper with Sunshine, but it's a bit inconvenient. I saw someone do it with Hyper-V, but I usually work with VirtualBox, and that combination doesn't run well with Hyper-V enabled. My PC isn't super powerful (just a Ryzen 5 1600, RX 480, and 16 GB of RAM), and running a separate Windows VM seems to use up too many resources. Also, my girlfriend wants to play The Witcher 3 on her weak laptop, and I want to make that experience better for her. Any advice?

From what I gather, using a Windows VM for remote gaming on your rig might just overwhelm it based on your hardware. It could be worth trying to improve your current RDP Wrapper setup instead, as it may provide better gaming performance without the resource hog.

I doubt there's a way to remote-play and still use your PC without virtualization. If you exclude virtual machines, your options are pretty limited. Just a heads up!

It depends on what you prioritize. If convenience is key, a virtual machine might be easier to set up, but you risk draining your system's resources. Given your specs, sticking with RDP Wrapper and Sunshine could yield better performance. Maybe you can tweak your current setup to make things a bit smoother!
