Hey everyone! I recently upgraded to a 5070 Ti GPU, and after installing it, my PC has been crashing hard during intense gaming sessions and when I try to change the resolution. I have a 750W power supply, which I thought would be sufficient based on the Nvidia manual. I've been monitoring my power usage, and it only hit about 230 watts before the crashes, so I didn't expect it to be a PSU issue. I also made sure to install the latest Nvidia driver for the 5070 Ti. Has anyone dealt with this kind of problem before? What should I be looking for?

Is your new GPU overclocked? I've had issues with overclocked cards that needed a BIOS update for stability. It's something worth checking before you get too deep into troubleshooting.
Have you tried uninstalling the previous GPU driver completely before installing the new one using DDU? That’s a crucial step when changing graphics cards. If your setup was stable before, the issue is likely related to driver conflicts. You might also want to look at tools like HWInfo to monitor power spikes.
My previous card actually died while idling, and I swapped in the 5070 Ti without uninstalling the old driver. I thought the new Nvidia driver would handle that, but I’ll definitely try a manual uninstall like you suggested. Thanks for the tip!
It sounds like your PSU is probably fine since it’s not blowing up your system outright. If your PC only crashes during games, it’s more likely a driver issue or possibly something with your system's power settings in Windows or the BIOS. I have a Cooler Master PSU that’s a couple of years old, set to full power, and I don't experience crashes. So check those settings!

Yeah, it is overclocked! I just found a new BIOS update, so I’ll try that alongside the DDU. Thanks for the heads-up!
