RTX 5080 Performance: Any Differences at 70% vs. 100% Power Limit?

I recently built a new rig with an RTX 5080, and I'm running some benchmarks to see how it performs. My specs are a Ryzen 7950X3D, an Asus Prime RTX 5080, 32GB of Kingston FURY Beast RAM at 5600MHz, a Seasonic Prime 1300W PSU, and an MSI MPG X670E motherboard. When I run games like BM Wukong, Cyberpunk 2033, and Squad at 1080p, I'm not noticing any significant performance difference between a 70% power limit and full 100%. The only distinction I've found is that the 70% limit uses less power. I did test Expo settings as well, running memory at 4800 vs. 5200, but again, no noticeable performance change. Am I experiencing a CPU bottleneck at this resolution?

Have you tried using DLSS 4 or just playing without any upscaling in Cyberpunk? Since you're at 1080p, that might help you see some performance gains. Also, consider enabling ray tracing to really push your GPU's limits and see if there's a difference in those benchmarks.

If you got a 5080, why not play at 1080p? You could maximize your settings and future-proof by considering a 1440p or 4K monitor later on for better visuals. Super sampling could definitely enhance your experience!

At 1080p, you're likely CPU bottlenecked. Keep an eye on your CPU and GPU usage while gaming; at this resolution, the CPU often can't keep up with powerful GPUs like the 5080. 3DMark focuses more on GPU performance, so it makes sense you’re seeing a difference there.
