Will Installing Windows Fix the A6 Error Code on My New Build?

I've just built a new PC, but I'm encountering an A6 error code. My machine powers on, the fans are running (though no RGB lighting), and I can access the BIOS without any issues. All my components like SSDs and RAM are recognized in the BIOS, but I don't have an operating system installed yet because of this error code. I'm curious if setting a boot priority or installing Windows would help resolve the A6 code. Appreciate any insights, and sorry for the lengthy explanation!

I’ve run into a similar issue when building my PC. In my case, I found that resetting the BIOS settings helped. If the motherboard allows it, there might be an option to clear the CMOS, which can sometimes reset any glitches causing codes like A6. Give that a try! After that, proceed with setting the boot priority and installing Windows – it could very well resolve the issue.

The first thing you need to check is the specific motherboard you have. Some A6 codes can relate to different issues depending on the manufacturer. If it's the Aorus x870e pro ice like you mentioned, there are known issues with SCSI detection that can come up in newly built systems. Setting the boot priority is a good step to take; sometimes that can resolve the error. Just remember, it’s not guaranteed but worth a shot before diving into further troubleshooting.
