I'm currently using a Ryzen 3600 (not the X version) and I've just ordered a Radeon 9070 XT for gaming. I'm doing video and photo editing for work, and while my rig handles it fine now, I'm priced out of a DDR5 upgrade due to the crazy RAM prices. With the 5700X available for around 150-170 Euros from eBay, is it worth upgrading? Or should I stick with the 3600 for now until prices stabilize or the AM6 platform releases?

As someone with a 5700X myself, I can say it's definitely worth it! You're doing editing work, and the extra performance will be beneficial. Plus, the price seems decent right now.
I recommend going for the 5700X, especially since you're doing video editing. It won't be a night and day difference, but with the 9070XT on the way, you'll want to avoid any potential CPU bottlenecking. It’s a solid choice for your setup!
I think you meant to say 3600X, but regardless, upgrading to the 5700X is a good move. Even if it's not a massive jump in performance, every little bit helps, especially when you pair it with a powerful GPU like the 9070XT. You might end up hitting some CPU bottlenecks otherwise!
