I'm experiencing a frustrating issue where my iPhone randomly goes to a black screen with a loading dial for about 10 seconds before returning to normal. This happens at least once a week. Initially, I thought it might just be my iPhone 13, but after switching to the 16 Pro in April, it started doing the same thing in July. I'm not sure if it's an iOS issue, something with the devices, or my Apple account. None of my friends with iPhones have reported this happening. Is there a common reason for this, and is there anything I can do to prevent it?

Another reason could be that your phone's storage is almost full. If your storage isn't an issue, check under Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics and Improvements > Analytic Logs to see if 'Springboard' is listed there. If it's not showing up, that might confirm it's not a storage problem.
It sounds like what you're experiencing is a type of software glitch known as a re-spring. Since you mentioned it happened on both phones, it's possible that something from your iCloud backup carried over. This could be due to the phone momentarily running out of RAM, which is different from device storage. Sometimes poorly coded apps can also be the culprit.
