I'm currently running an RTX 3060 and looking to upgrade. I have enough budget to purchase the 9060XT right now, but I'm debating whether to go ahead with that or save for a few more months to get either the 9070XT or the RTX 5070. My current setup includes a Ryzen 7 5800X 3D, and if I decide to wait, I'll buy an 850W PSU in the meantime. Any advice would be appreciated!

It's tough to say exactly what will happen with GPU prices, but prices seem to be going up. Cards with 16 GB of memory are especially affected. If you can swing it, I'd recommend aiming for the RTX 5070 or RX 9070 as waiting might lead to even higher prices later on.
If you're looking at 1440p or higher, definitely consider waiting for the 5070 or 9070. The 9060XT is decent for 1080p, but if you want better performance without hitting the pocket too hard, saving a bit longer would be wise.
If performance is your main concern, I'd suggest waiting for the 9070. The 9060 is good, but it's just not as powerful. If you can hold off for a bit, that might be the better route for you.
It’s a bit of a gamble. The 9070 and 5070 cards might be pricier in a few months, but if you’re okay with a 60% performance boost now versus double the performance later, that’s the decision you’ll need to weigh.
The 9070 and 9070XT are set to pair very nicely with your 5800X3D, so if you can spare a few months, it's probably worth it to save up a little longer. The 9060XT is significantly less capable. It's essentially like a mild upgrade compared to the 9070.
