Help Needed: Black Screen Issue While Playing Unreal Engine Games

I've been experiencing a frustrating problem while playing games that use Unreal Engine, such as Marvel Rivals and Valorant. Recently, whenever I load up these games, my screen goes black with a "No display signal" message; however, the PC stays on, and I can still hear game sounds and notifications from Discord. The issue seems to happen after I've turned on my PC and used it for 2-3 hours, but I can fix it temporarily by restarting my PC, after which everything runs fine. Here are my specs:
1) Intel i7 13700KF
2) MSI Pro Z790 P WiFi DDR5 motherboard
3) 32 GB Corsair Vengeance RAM
4) Nvidia MSI 4080 GPU
5) 850W power supply
6) Nvidia graphics driver version 591.74.

To troubleshoot, I've tried updating the BIOS, performing a DDU and clean install of the graphics driver (which fixed a fan speed issue), replacing the CPU thermal paste (temperatures seem fine), and checking all cables along with testing different monitors. I'd really appreciate any suggestions on what else I can try to fix this issue!

Make sure to check your Windows Event Logs for any clues. I noticed some error with nvcontainer.exe and code 0xc0000005, which points to potential corrupted Nvidia driver files. Even after cleanup with DDU, this could be a sign of deeper driver issues or even some DirectX errors.

I found some DX12 errors too. Seems like the driver might need more than just a clean install to fix those issues.

You might want to try testing your GPU in another PC if possible. These black screen issues can sometimes indicate a damaged GPU. Also, using MSI Afterburner could help you monitor any irregularities with the GPU's performance.

But if it were a damaged GPU, why would it work perfectly after a restart? That doesn't seem right.

Cleaning and reapplying the thermal paste on your GPU might help as well. The issues could stem from the GPU itself, whether it's a power problem, driver issue, or hardware malfunction. After cleaning it, run some benchmark software to see if the problem continues. If you've got access to a different power supply, consider swapping it out just to rule that out.
