Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out if there's something sneaky going on with my mic usage. I've got Access Dots installed because I have some suspicions about being monitored by someone who might have access to my Xiaomi Rednote 10. Recently, I noticed that Bitdefender was turned off without me knowing, but I've turned it back on and ran a scan—nothing came up. Would that be enough to ensure there's nothing malicious installed? Also, Access Dots has been acting weird, toggling off for no apparent reason even when dots show up. For instance, today the mic indicator dot appeared, but I hadn't used the mic at all. Is there a way to check mic usage history on my phone? Do you think it's possible something could be using my mic without Access Dots picking it up? I really need some advice on finding potential spyware or surveillance apps that might be hiding out. Thanks a lot!

It sounds like you need to take action if you're feeling unsure about your privacy. If you're worried about someone accessing your phone, doing a factory reset is definitely a solid recommendation. It can wipe out anything suspicious on your device. Just be cautious about who you allow to use your phone going forward. My advice, however, is to first check the mic permissions in your Settings and look at your Privacy Dashboard to see which apps are using it. Sometimes it can just be a glitch with Access Dots or a harmless system process. Restart and update your phone as well! Maybe do a scan with Malwarebytes too, just to be safe after using Bitdefender. A simple update can often solve these issues!
Thanks for the insight on the factory reset! I’m definitely going to check those permissions and scan with Malwarebytes. Appreciate it!
