I'm looking to upgrade my old gaming PC, and I think a better GPU would make a significant difference. I recommend going for something like the RX 6600 or 6650 XT if you can stretch your budget a bit. Those cards offer great performance and should work well with your setup as long as your PSU is at least 500W. Down the line, consider upgrading your CPU for the best experience.
Just a heads up—the GPU is definitely the weakest link in your PC right now. Just make sure to check your PSU to avoid any mishaps. But with your budget, looking for something secondhand might give you the best bang for your buck!
You might want to look at the Intel Arc B580, which has 12GB of VRAM and is priced around $250. However, be cautious because it might not perform well with your current CPU—you could end up with a bottleneck in performance. It’s a decent option if you have a way to upgrade your CPU later on.
That card is quite pricey! I think you could find better options for that budget.
