I'm looking to upgrade my PC and I need some advice. Currently, I have an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, but I'm considering moving to either the Ryzen 7 5700X3D or the 5800X3D. I've noticed that the 5800X3D is pretty hard to find, while the 5700X3D is more available. Is there a significant difference between the two processors? Also, I want to know what GPU would pair well with whichever CPU I choose. I'm not on a super tight budget but I'm not ready to go to AM5 just yet. I want to make a choice that will future-proof my setup a bit. Here are my current specs:
- **Operating System:** Windows 11 Pro (64-bit)
- **Memory:** 32 GB
- **Motherboard:** ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING
- **Current GPU:** AMD Radeon RX 6600
- **Storage:** WD_BLACK SN770 1TB and Blu-ray SSD 512GB
- **Monitor:** 43" 4K TV at 60Hz (planning to switch to a monitor for gaming).

There's not a huge difference between the 5700X3D and 5800X3D, so if you can get the 5700X3D for a good price, it’s a solid choice for AM4. Since you already have the ROG motherboard, it makes sense to stick with it until you decide to move to AM5. Also, definitely focus on getting a better GPU, especially since you plan to upgrade your setup for 4K gaming!
Just to add: If you're planning to upgrade to a monitor with higher refresh rates, make sure to balance your GPU spending. It's probably better to spend a little more on your GPU now rather than going for the top-tier CPU right away, especially since you’re on AM4. That way you're set up nicely for future performance!
