I recently built a PC after years of using laptops, and I've encountered a weird issue: my computer keeps waking up from sleep mode just a few minutes after I put it to sleep. I've tried unplugging all USB devices like my mouse, keyboard, and controller, but it still happens. When I ran the powercfg/lastwake command, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I've also adjusted the power management settings for my USB devices yet it seems like my GPU, a Gigabyte GeForce RTX3060, is the first component to wake up. My computer is set up in my bedroom, so it's pretty annoying to have to keep putting it back to sleep or shutting it down every day. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks!

You might want to check if your ethernet cable is causing it to wake up. I had the same issue, and once I removed that, the problem stopped. Give it a shot!
Shutting it down every day seems like a hassle, right? But honestly, that’s what most people do. It’s actually better for your PC in the long run, so maybe just get used to it?
Double-check your power settings. In the command prompt, run "powercfg /requests" to see what's keeping it from sleeping and "powercfg /waketimers" to find any timers set to wake it up. It could help you pinpoint the issue.
I already tried the lastwake command, but I’ll check the requests and timers next.
Try using the hibernate option instead of sleep. It might take a bit of time to boot back up, but at least it won’t wake up randomly like sleep mode does.
I thought about hibernating, but yeah, it’s practically the same as booting up from completely off.
I had a similar issue where a fan cable was plugged into the wrong spot on the motherboard. Rearranging them fixed that random wake-up problem. Maybe try that?
Yeah, those startup times can be annoying, but it’s still better than having it wake you up at night!
