I just got a new 240Hz monitor, but I'm only getting 60FPS in games, and it feels like something's off. I don't think it's a hardware issue since everything seems fine. I've checked the in-game settings, and they are set to 240Hz, as is the monitor itself. Can anyone offer some advice?

Make sure you're using the right cable type. HDMI sometimes doesn't support over 60Hz, while DisplayPort should work fine if that's what you're using. Are you certain your monitor's set to 240Hz?
Check out your Nvidia Control Panel. Sometimes you need to set your monitor to its highest refresh rate there. Go to Display > Change Resolution and ensure you're selecting the max refresh rate. Don't forget to hit Apply!
I checked, and it's definitely set to 240Hz in the Nvidia Control Panel.
What games are you playing? Some titles have a frame rate cap at 60 FPS. For example, Elden Ring is a notable one that doesn't exceed that limit.
Update: It turns out my issue was limited in the Nvidia app, not the control panel! It was driving me crazy for a bit.
Try going to Settings > Display > Advanced Display, then click "Display Adapter Properties for Display X" and choose "List All Modes." Just make sure everything aligns there.

I'm using the DisplayPort cable that came with the monitor, and it is set to 239.999Hz. It happens in Marvel Rivals and other games too.
