Hey everyone! My friend and I are embarking on a project that we hope to monetize down the road, starting with a mobile app before branching out to web. With two years of development experience under my belt, we're taking a careful approach. I'm looking for your recommendations on the best cross-platform frameworks for Android, iOS, and web. I'm familiar with React Native but want to explore all options before making a decision—especially those that cut down on redundant work as we expand from our initial Android version. Any suggestions or insights on app development tools would also be appreciated since I believe a lot of successful apps use some form of mobile app builder to get off the ground. Thanks!

Don't get caught up in trying to make everything perfect right away. It’s a good idea to build something quickly using what you're already familiar with and prove the concept first. You can always refactor down the line if it becomes necessary.

I've used both Flutter and React Native to ship apps. Out of the box, Flutter offers a more polished appearance with smoother performance. On the other hand, React Native has a larger ecosystem, which is great if you need to hire developers later on. Since you’re already comfortable with React Native, sticking with it might be wise unless there’s a strong incentive to switch.

If you’re looking for cross-platform options, I’d recommend either Flutter or React Native. Both of these frameworks do a great job at minimizing duplicate work when you scale across platforms. Flutter’s hot reload feature is fantastic for productivity, while React Native has better support for third-party libraries. It really comes down to what fits your specific needs best.

If you're in this to make money, I'd advise you to focus on speed rather than writing perfect code from scratch. There are excellent mobile app builders that can help you launch quickly. The competition is fierce, and most successful apps started with tools that allowed them to move fast before optimizing later on.

Consider checking out no-code platforms like App Sheet or Power Apps if you want to build something quickly and start monetizing right away. Tools like this generate production-ready apps and take care of payments, authentication, and databases for you, which can help you validate your ideas without a huge time investment.
