I'm relatively new to PC gaming and have been enjoying it a lot! I've realized I need to upgrade my RAM, but my friend recommends getting 4 sticks of 8GB. However, I've heard that using 4 sticks can create issues and I want to make an informed choice. Should I go for the 4 sticks or the 2 sticks of 16GB?

Go for whatever's cheaper! Since it's DDR4, 4 sticks can work fine if they match speeds and timings. But keep in mind, for most users, 2 sticks are often smoother. What RAM do you currently have?
If you're mainly gaming, stick to 2 sticks if you can! Most motherboards support dual channel, so you'll get better performance and stability with two. Plus, it's way easier to overclock or manage settings with just two sticks as opposed to four.
Honestly, going with 2 sticks is usually better for stability. They tend to run at their rated speeds more reliably, while 4 sticks can sometimes complicate things a bit. Occasionally, you might see a slight speed increase with 4 sticks, but it's rare.

I currently have OLOy 2x8GB 2666MHz RAM, but I'm not sure about the timings as I'm still figuring everything out.
