Hey everyone! I'm looking to boost my gaming performance without fully overhauling my system just yet. I've got an Asus Tuf Gaming X-570 Plus mobo, 32GB of RAM, and a 3080. Will upgrading from my Ryzen 5 3600 to a newer AM4 CPU help much in games like Arma 3? If so, what should I consider getting? Thanks for any advice!

I’d recommend looking at the Ryzen 5900XT. It’s around $320 and moves you from 6 cores/12 threads to 16 cores/32 threads, plus it's on the newer Zen 3 architecture, which is a solid upgrade! You should see a nice bump in performance overall.

If gaming is your main focus, the Ryzen 5800XT might be a better bet. It has two fewer cores than the 5900XT, but it usually performs better in FPS for games because of its architecture.

Consider the Ryzen 5600X too! In gaming, it’s often within 5% of the 5800X performance. Core count doesn't always mean better gaming performance, especially in the same architecture. Check out some benchmarks online to see what fits your gaming style!
