Hey everyone, I'm really frustrated right now. I recently upgraded my PC with a new motherboard, RAM, and CPU (kept the same graphics card and PSU), but now I can't connect to the Internet. I initially thought the problem was with my Ethernet cable, so I bought a new one, but I'm still having the same issue. When I troubleshoot, it says my Ethernet is disabled, and even after enabling it, I still can't get online. I've tried resetting my network settings, but nothing has changed. Can someone help me figure out what's going on before I completely lose it?

Start by checking your setup. Make sure your onboard LAN is working by looking in the Device Manager. This can help you pinpoint where things might be going wrong.
Have you tried installing the driver for your network interface? New motherboards often come with new chips that Windows doesn't support natively, so you'll need to download the latest drivers for it.
You should also look into how your Ethernet is connected. Is it through the motherboard's port, a PCI card, or something else? Additionally, what operating system are you using? You might need to install or change the driver for it.
Just to let everyone know, I finally figured it out! It turned out to be the network drivers that weren't there, and I had to reinstall them. Now everything works great. Thanks to everyone for your help and for bearing with my confusion!
A good step is to run 'ipconfig' in your command prompt to check if you have an IP address. You can also try pinging your router to see if you can reach it. This will help you verify each part of your network.
