What’s Going On with GPU Prices?

I was eyeing the Asus Prime RTX 5070 Ti graphics card a few days back, and it was priced at €800. Now, I've noticed the price has jumped to €950! Is this price hike just a short-term issue, or should I expect these prices to stick around? I've also heard rumors about them potentially stopping production of the 5070 due to its RAM. Will the prices go back down soon?

If you really need the GPU and can afford it, I’d say buy it now. Prices are only going to keep climbing for the foreseeable future.

I think this price increase is going to stick around for a while. With all the AI demand gobbling up RAM, we’re seeing costs go up across the board.

Yeah, it’s all tied to AI. That’s also why RAM prices have shot up.

The current state of the industry is pretty chaotic right now. Honestly, it’s likely to get worse before it gets any better.
