Experiencing Crashes While Gaming at High FPS – Need Help!

I'm using an RX7800XT Steel Legend graphics card, and I keep running into problems when I play games with my frame rate unlocked. The display goes black, and the GPU fans ramp up to full speed. I've already tried undervolting, resetting drivers, and adjusting my overclock settings. I've also checked all the cables and connections. My GPU temperatures are decent, not going above 68°C, but the hotspot is hitting 90°C. I'm at a loss here, and I haven't found any articles that help. Has anyone experienced this, or does anyone have any suggestions?

I ran into a similar issue that was fixed with a BIOS update on my system. If you haven't tried that yet, it could be worth considering as a solution.

I’ll give that a shot now, thanks!

First off, you might want to check the wattage of your power supply. An underpowered PSU can cause issues like this during high demand. Also, doing some benchmarks or GPU stress tests can help pinpoint if it’s a GPU load or possibly a CPU-related issue.

I have an 850W PSU, and stress tests show everything is fine.
