Is it normal for RTX 5070 Ti fans to be loud while gaming despite cool temps?

I just finished building my first gaming PC, and I'm loving it so far, but I'm hearing a lot of noise from my graphics card's fans while playing games, even though the temperatures are staying below 50°C. Is this typical?

Here's my setup:
- GPU: ASUS Prime RTX 5070 Ti
- CPU: Ryzen 5 9600X
- Case: Lian Li A3 (mATX)
- AIO: Thermalright Peerless Vision (360mm top-mounted)

I've noticed that after just a few minutes of gaming, the GPU fans ramp up and get pretty loud. I've made sure to set my case fans and AIO to silent mode using Gigabyte Control Center, yet the noise persists from the GPU.

1. Is this just how ASUS sets their fan curves?
2. Should I be worried about a potential issue with the GPU, or is this just expected behavior?
3. For others with the same card or similar newer models, what's your fan noise like at these temperatures?

Also, I did some troubleshooting and discovered that the leftmost fan isn't spinning while the rightmost one is quite noisy. I even managed to stop the noisy fan with my finger, and the noise stopped. Any thoughts on this?

This could be an issue with the fan power connector. It sounds like one fan isn't getting enough signal which could lead to the noise. If everything is plugged in fine, you might have to look at getting an RMA for the GPU.

You can definitely set your own fan curve if you want to control the noise, but I get where you're coming from—especially if you just built the PC, it's concerning to hear those fans ramping up so much. I wonder if it's just ASUS's default settings making the fans aggressive?

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering too. I guess I didn’t expect it to be so loud right out of the box. Might play with the curves more.

From what I understand, the Prime model is designed to be quiet under light loads, so it does seem strange that yours is so loud. I can see why you might think it could be faulty. Have you checked if everything is connected properly?

Good point, I'll double-check all the connections. Feeling a bit bummed though!

Have you played around with the fan settings in the software? It’s possible that some tweaks there could help. Plus, if one fan isn’t spinning, that definitely needs to be addressed before it causes more problems.

I also have the same GPU, and I only notice fan noise during heavy loads, like when textures are loading. Otherwise, they tend to go quiet. Sounds like something might be up with yours if it's consistently loud!

That’s wild. I was playing Spiderman, and it felt like a jet engine! Definitely sounds like an issue with that left fan not spinning.
