Why is my Windows Search bar not working after uninstalling Copilot and Cortana?

I recently uninstalled both Copilot and Cortana since I didn't use them and they were always running in the background. However, now the Windows Search bar won't open at all when I click on it, and I can't type anything. Interestingly, the Windows button still works and brings up its menu, but the search function seems to be broken. I'm curious about the connection between those programs and the Windows Search feature. Any ideas on what might have gone wrong?

Just a heads up, the Windows Search feature relies on Cortana, so by uninstalling it, you might have broken something in the search functionality! Some folks have mentioned using the command 'sfc /scannow' to fix issues like this, though those posts are a bit outdated. You could give that a shot!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll try the command and see if it helps.
