Hey everyone! I'm venturing into building my first gaming PC and have a budget of around $5,000. I'd love some feedback on the components I've been considering and any tips for the actual building process. Since I'll be gaming primarily at 4K and ultra settings, I'm aiming for 120+ fps, possibly with a 4K 240Hz monitor. I'm also leaning towards an OLED or mini-LED display. Aesthetics are important to me, but I'm more focused on a clean setup rather than over-the-top RGB lighting.
Here's what I'm thinking so far:
- I'm going for a top-of-the-line AMD processor just because I can.
- The motherboard and RAM match the CPU's caliber.
- I've chosen a compatible CPU cooler and case from Corsair for their intuitive management software.
- For the GPU, I'd really like the Founders Edition if it's available. Otherwise, I'm unsure about the brand options. I'm considering the 5090, but it seems a bit expensive; I'm thinking the 5080 might suffice for now.
- About the SSD and PSU, I think I've picked good choices to complement the rest of the build.

I'd recommend going with the 9800X3D since it's great for pure gaming. I built my first PC with a big case and ended up going smaller for my second build – might be worth considering that too!

I heard the 9950X3D is good for both gaming and multitasking. I wanted something that can handle work but still focused primarily on gaming!
