Why Can’t I Print from Excel to My Network Printer?

I'm having a tough time with my Excel desktop app; it just won't print to my network printer. I've tried everything I can think of—updating the app, running an online repair for Office, updating my PC, even rolling back updates, and reinstalling the printer. I've deleted and set up the ports again, reset the Ethernet cable, switched to WiFi, rebooted the switch, and restarted the printer. I was able to connect to the printer's IP address, but still, nothing prints. Other computers in the office can print just fine, so I'm really confused about what's going wrong. I'm even building an old PC to check if it makes a difference. It's just really frustrating!

You should also consider how the printer is mapped. Are you using a TCP/IP port with the latest driver? If not, I recommend downloading the PCL6 version. Windows sometimes tries to install a driver it thinks is suitable, which could cause issues. In my experience, switching to a TCP/IP port and using the PCL6 driver has always sorted out my printing problems.

Have you checked if the PC can print to other printers? That could help narrow down if the problem is the printer or just that specific setup.

You might want to try running the DISM/SFC scan. Some people laugh it off, but I've had weird issues resolved with it before. Like once, my mouse was acting all jerky until I ran that and it worked like a charm afterward. Also, it might be worth doing a chkdsk /f just to cover all bases.
