Hey everyone! I'm looking to make the switch from Windows and need some help picking a Linux distribution. I've been researching a couple of options and I'm torn between Zorin OS 18 and Bazzite. My computer setup includes an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, an MSI x470 Gaming Plus Max motherboard, 64 GB of RAM, and a Gigabyte Nvidia RTX 4070. I primarily play games but I also rely on Word and Excel quite a bit. Is there a clear winner between these two, or is there another distro I should check out? Really appreciate any input!

Just so you know, LibreOffice can save your documents in the Word format, so you won't have issues sharing files even if you transition away from MS Office. Pretty handy for things like resumes!
If gaming is a priority, Bazzite might be the better option for you, especially with its solid Nvidia support. Plus, if you really need Office, the online version works fine on any OS.
Since you seem comfortable with Windows, you could even set up a VM to run it occasionally for those must-use MS Office tasks. That way you can enjoy the Linux experience without losing access to the apps you need.
Honestly, there's no one-size-fits-all answer here. It might be best to try them both out before settling on one! Distros can feel quite different, so what works for some might not work for you.
What do you actually need from Word and Excel? If you can manage with alternatives like OnlyOffice or even O365 Online, you might have more flexibility with your distro choice.

Totally agree! And don't forget about using LibreOffice—it's great for saving documents in a format that Windows users can easily open.
